Chinese Customs and Traditions
+History

Here's some basic information on ancient Chinese customs or culture (well we've also included some historical events as well ).
We've tried to "dig" as much information as we could for your researches and enjoyment. Hope you find them valuable in your explorations.

Ancient Chinese Dynasties

Funerals

Here's some "scary" stuff on how ancient Chinese tombs and funerals were "mourned" during those times:

  • ming chi - ( furniture for funerals ). These furnitures were put in tombs together with the deceased during burials so as to symbolize immortality and continuous "relaxation" or enjoyment for the deceased. This custom was popular in the Ming, Han, and Tang dynasties.
