We're reviewing and recommending some of the more popular and safe restaurants as well as fast-foods, hang-outs, bars, cafes, hotels, and other 'most-visited' outlets in Quanzhou city.

We'll include pictures, contact numbers and addresses of the restaurants in this page and rate some according to their quality of service, food, drinks, as well as the safety and hygiene - factors which we all should note-of when we're traveling in and out of Quanzhou city, and (with our global travels).

Let's start off with some 'basics':

• Mc Donald's
  French fries, Coke, coffee, orange juice, breakfast - you get hash browns and other basic meals (coffee and Lipton tea come with free re-fills) for breakfast from 8:00 am to around 9:30 am. After that, the hash browns are gone.

  On the ground floor of the Golden Star Hotel Quanzhou ( Chinese pinyin is Jin Xing Hotel) which is close to the hutongs or alleys in Zhuangyuan street (zhuang yuan street)

• Kentucky Fried Chicken
  Barrels of fried chicken but (no gravy!) which comes out as set meals including Pepsi Cola, French fries. There are also chicken burger set meals.

  Located near the Clock Tower and walking distance to Mc Donald's (Dong Jie) and Golden Star Hotel Quanzhou
